New Bus Times

From Sunday 3rd September bus times for services between Gamesley and Glossop are changing.

The main change is Speedwell's decision to withdraw all of there 392 journeys, with alterations to the times for the 341 and 239 services so that a service to Simmondley continues, along with a roughly 20 minutes service (3 buses an hour) between Gamesley and Glossop.

The full details below are as available on the Derbysbus Website

From Sunday 3 September
  • Service 61 (Glossop to Buxton) (Bowers) : Most weekday buses will be re-timed by up to 10 minutes. 
  • Services 62 and 62A (Hayfield to Stockport with some Glossop journeys) (Bowers) : A revised weekday timetable will be introduced, with alternate buses running via Thornsett.
  • Service 239 (Glossop to Ashton) (Speedwell) : The Glossop to New Mills section will be withdrawn, and a revised timetable will be introduced between Ashton and Glossop. Buses from Glossop will also serve Simmondley. 
  • Service 341 (Glossop to Hyde) (Speedwell) : Buses to Glossop will additionally serve Simmondley, and most weekday buses will be re-timed to run about 15 minutes earlier. 
  • Service 392 (Glossop to Gamesley) (Speedwell) : This service will be withdrawn (except for the early morning journeys operated by Stagecoach). Gamesley will still be served by buses 394, 239 and 341, and Simmondley will have an hourly service provided by Services 239 (from Glossop) and 341 (to Glossop).
